Neil Diamond has been announced as the final headlining act for this year's BBC Electric Proms taking place from Thursday 28th to Saturday 30th of October 2010.

The very special gig will showcase the songs he loves and his own classic back catalogue of songs like 'I'm A Believer', 'Sweet Caroline' and 'I Am... I Said', performed in the intimate surroundings of London's The Roundhouse.
The show will be broadcast live on Radio 2 from 8pm on Saturday 30th October, with 'A Night With Neil Diamond' aired on BBC Two on Saturday 13th November, featuring highlights of the Radio 2 Electric Proms, together with an exclusive documentary about Neil's music career, and featuring an interview with the man himself.
He will close the three day event performing on Saturday 30th October, and joins a line-up that sees Elton John, Leon Russell, Plan B, and Rumer appear on the first night, and Robert Plant, Band Of Joy, Patty Griffin, and London Oriana Choir confirmed for the Friday.
Tickets are not on sale yet, and prices have not yet been confirmed.
