The first comedians ever to perform at the two day festival will be Aberdeen comedian Gus Tawse, Montrose funnyman Scott 'the dog' Forbes, radio presenter Andrew Learmonth, Duncan Guthrie who appears at the event on both nights of the festival, and Jason C Murphy making his first ever comedy outing at a festival. The comedians will be doing rounds of stand up comedy each evening in the Wee Wizards arena.

This year the Wee Wizard's arena has been dedicated to 'fun and frolics' and will present a full line-up of children's and young people's acts. Aberdeen's only school of hip hop will be performing ahead of a big appearance at the Notting Hill Carnival on bank holiday Monday. Young people from the Hip Hop dancing group will be holding hip hop dance classes and MC workshops as well as performing some of their recently previewed show, the Hip Opera.

Kids yoga will also be coming to Wizard for the first time when a fully qualified yoga instructor will be giving kids and young people some tuition over the festival weekend.

Aberdeen's The Guarana Street Drummers make a return after hypnotising Wizard fans last year with their rhythmic beats. Drumming workshops for children and adults will be held in the Wee Wizard's marquee over the Wizard weekend.

Story tellers, magicians and face painters will also be on hand to entertain youngsters in a large comfortable marquee set aside especially for the younger fans.

Roy Thain, Wizard Festival director said, "Each year we try to add more layers to the festival so that Wizard can be an all round event that provides something for everyone. Our comedy line up is looking great and we know that many fans will be really pleased that we have made this addition to the festival. Our kids and young people's entertainment is always really well received and we have added more workshops and activities this year so that our younger fans have plenty to do. With less than two weeks to go fans and organisers are looking forward to best Wizard yet and we are anticipating the highest levels yet in attendance."

Wizard happens over the weekend of Friday 27th and Saturday 28th August 2010 and has a line-up that includes Saturday headliners Happy Mondays plus Alabama 3, Complete Stone Roses, Peatbog Faeries with more than 50 acts performing across three stages including a full DJ line-up.
