The Go! Team, and I Blame Coco are the final acts to be announced for this weekend's The Wickerman Festival in Scotland.

The Go! Team
Following a break after the release their last album 'Proof of Youth', The Go! Team have stepped up to fill the shoes of Codeine Velvet Club who have had to cancel their appearance on the main, Summerisle Stage.

I Blame Coco is fronted by 19-year-old Coco Sumner, the daughter of Sting and Trudie Styler. Coco has signed a six album deal with Island and is gearing up for the September release of debut long player 'The Constant'.

Jamie Gilroy, land owner and director, commented: "It's fantastic to be able to complete our line up with such exciting names. The Go! Team are one of the most fun, joyous and exuberant bands in the country and are sure to be offer an amazing performance. Likewise, Wickerman has always been about discovery of emerging talent and I Blame Coco is sure to not disappoint."

The Wickerman Festival has also announced a twinning agreement with the Lake of Stars Festival, in Malawi, with Wickerman Festival helping them secure a Scottish headline act. The aim of the twinning is that the festivals will work together to promote Scottish and African arts, culture and tourism, with bands from both continents having the opportunity to perform on an international stage.

The ninth Wickerman festival which happens on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th July 2010 at Dundrennan, South West Scotland, in deepest Galloway has a line-up that sees The Charlatans and Ocean Colour Scene headline with Buzzcocks, The Undertones, Pama International, Tony Christie, 808 State, Goldie Lookin' Chain, Fenech Soler, Erland and the Carnival, The Saw Doctors, Sons & Daughters, and more. The festival welcomes families, and features two main stages, as well as a dance area, acoustic and reggae tents, a campsite, trade stalls, alternative area, bars, and food stalls. With two huge marquees, an outdoor funk stage, chill out space and bar – not to mention the Skiddle Bus debut - The Wickerman Festival is a great event for those after some all night dance action, away from the corporate sponsorship the larger dance events offer.

Paying homage to the 1973 film of the same name which was filmed in the area, the festival draws to a close on Saturday night with the theatrical burning of the giant 40 ft Wickerman sculpture. Taking weeks to create by local artists, Trevor Leat and Alex Rigg, the sculpture bursts into flames at midnight creating the most iconic image of the festival season.

Weekend adult tickets cost £85, teens aged 13-15 cost £42.50, kids under 13 are admitted free. To buy, click here.

This year's fancy dress theme is Vampires and Werewolves. Festival goers are invited to bring their Halloween costumes and get in the Hammy Horror groove for next July's fangtastic celebration of all things Fiery and Fearsome.
