Erol Alkan, and Luke Vibert lead the latest names to be announced for this year's Beatherder Festival.

Erol Alkan
Shaking the trees with one of his flawless sets spanning everything from full on mutant techno, disco, crowd-pleasing electro bangers and back again, Erol Alkan will be heading up north to pull in the crowds at the Toiltrees stage. Also confirmed is Cornish electronica master Luke Vibert, one-man blues band Son Of Dave, and London Fabric resident Ali B.

New additions to the line-up also confirmed to play include Rob Bright, Steve Cobby, Gideon Conn, The Worm, The Undercover Hippy, A Me B, La La & the Boo Ya, Thingumabob and Thingamajigs, Free Peace, Lumberjack Cowboy Heartbreak Trucking Co, Underground Roots featuring Bongo chilli and Danman, Karl Roscoe, Rusty Staples, Mik Artistik, Maghribibeat, Tramtown Junction, Jah Mission Vibes feat Mbackeh Darboe, Toy, Misery Guts, Rum Jig, The Hang Project, Bunty Looping, Happy Red Tractors, Serious Lee, and Theo Bard.

Now in it's fourth year the back-to-basics festival boasts zero official sponsorship, cheap local food and booze, weird and wonderful art installations, and breath taking views set in sleepy Lancashire deep in the heart of the Ribble Valley.

With everything on-site handmade in the amazing Beatherder workshop to the finest detail from an individual flower planted for each artist who has ever played to the bizarre vibrating benches the fully decked out Working Men's Club and Grandad's Room hidden in the trees, Beatherder is non-stop hedonistic festival fun stripped down to it's roots.

They join the previously announced Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Dan Le Sac Vs Sroobious Pip, Easy Star All Stars, Transglobal Underground, Zion Train, Jah Shaka, Alex Metric, Andy C & MC Q, The Fairey Brass Band, Lancashire Hotpots, Chew Lips, Dub Pistols Soundsystem, Utah Saints + Sugarbeat club, Django Django, King Charles, Cagedbaby, Layo & Bushwacka, Paul Daley (Leftfield), Sicknote, Benji Boko, Blasted Mechanism, Doorly, The Travelling Band, Krysko, Jilted Generation, Killaflaw, The Lovely Eggs, Captain Hotknives, and more with more headline acts still to be announced. An adult weekend ticket is priced at £70, children under 13 years of age need a child ticket priced at £10. Live in vehicle passes are priced at £15. This year there is a car parking pass introduced at a price of £5. To buy tickets, click here.

The festival is split into five main areas combining live music, DJ sets and creative workshops. There will also be the Pixie Pictures Cinema, contemporary art by Paul Hitchen @ Liber8, a live art and design jam, face painting, and tribal belly dancing. Plus food, stalls and more.

The three day Beatherder festival takes place in Gisburn, in Lancashire, with the dates for this the fifth year confirmed as Friday 2nd until Sunday 4th July. The festival is independently funded and has no involvement in corporate organisations, nor does it receive any sponsorship.
