eFestivals can exclusively reveal the line-up for The Soapbox Stage at the Lake District's Kendal Calling festival.

The line-up of line up of comedians & spoken word artists is led by John Cooper Clarke and Howard Marks. Joining them will be Mrs Barbara Nice, Clint Boon (Inspiral Carpets), Alex Boardman, Mike Wilkinson, Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer, Ruth E Cockburn, Chris Cross, Andy Watson, Phil Chapman, Andy Rannard, Will Duggan, Guy Thomas, Nick Fraser, Jay Foreman, Zelda Saint-Wild and the Glitter Kittens (burlesque show), Dave Haslam (author), Marvin Cheeseman, Mike Garry (the festival's poet laureate), Kirsty k Latham (artist in residence), and Danny Mahon who will be presenting an acoustic show.

Also announced is the The House Party which will have a Wii in the living room, massages in the bedroom and tea and biscuits in the kitchen. Howard Marks stopping by for a special breakfast. By night it'll all go a bit more crackers with DJ sets from Same Teens, Mr Sushi, Tramp, Up The Racket, Dave Haslam, Twisted Wheel, Murkage Cartel, Juicy, Clique, Wasted Little DJs, Good Vibrations and some extra special guests.

Calvin Harris will headline the Friday night with Doves on Saturday and The Coral on Sunday. Also confirmed are The Subways, Wild Beasts, The Futureheads, Ok Go, Dub Pistols, Erol Alkan, DJ Yoda, Plump DJs, High Contrast, Scratch Perverts, Elite Force, Justin Robertson, Danny Byrd, Doorly, Eskimo Twins, Emalkay, People Get Real, Rich Reason, Ken Evil, Ash Howell, First Aid Kit, Mark Chadwick, Unabombers, Beat Boutique, Craig Charles, and The Lancashire Hotpots, with more acts to be confirmed. Wax:On will take the reins in the Dance Tent on Saturday and Ape will host the arena on Sunday.

Tickets sold out last year for Kendal Calling which this year has also introduced a deposit scheme which enables ticket buyers to pay £30 now to secure a ticket and pay the rest later at no extra cost.

An adult ticket including 3 days and nights camping is priced at £85, a child (11-14 years) weekend ticket is priced at £45, and children under 11 can attend for free, but need a ticket. A campervan ticket is priced at £40.

Kendal Calling is held in the Lake District, over the weekend of Friday 30th July to Sunday 1st August and is a wholly independent festival returning for its fifth year and returning to the Lowther Estate, Kendal, in East Cumbria.
