South West 4 push it with Salt N Pepa

Hip-hop legends Salt N Pepa have been announced for London's South West Four Weekender August Bank Holiday rave up.

Salt N Pepa will perform live at South West Four 2010. Joining the Main Stage line-up on Sunday as the main support to Fatboy Slim, this will be their outdoor UK Festival debut and their first London performance in over fifteen years!

Salt N Pepa paved the way for underground acts to break into the mainstream and are the biggest selling female rap-group of all time. Consisting of Cheryl Williams ('Salt') Sandra Denton ('Pepa') and Deidra 'Dee Dee' Roper (DJ 'Spinderalla') the New York trio hit the UK charts in 1986 with their massive hit single 'Push It'. Further singles came in the form of 'Shake Your Thang', 'Twist and Shout', 'Let's Talk About Sex', 'Shoop' and 'Whatta Man', alongside five albums, all of which have totalled sales in excess of fifteen million worldwide!

Saturday is headlined by Armin van Buuren, while Sunday has Fatboy Slim. Also on Saturday are Sasha, John Digweed, Erick Morillo, Pete Tong, Sander van Doorn b2b Marco V, Josh Wink, Mutant Clan (Timo Maas & Santos), Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules, and more. The London outdoor dance event returns to Clapham Common, for two days as a Weekender for the first time on the Bank Holiday Weekend of Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th August for its seventh year.
