Gorillaz to headline Benicassim

their second European festival date now revealed

Gorillaz are confirmed as headliners for Spain's The International Benicàssim Festival, FIB Heineken.

Following their recent sell out performances at US Music Festival Coachella and the Roundhouse in London, the Gorillaz are set to bring 'Plastic Beach' to Benicasim as the band play their first Spanish show and one of only two festival concerts, the other being Roskilde.

Gorillaz much lauded third album 'Plastic Beach' topped charts around the world when released in March of this year. Their previous albums 'Gorillaz' and 'Demon Days' have sold over 6 million albums each.

Performed by Damon Albarn, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and the Gorillaz band the live show will feature songs from all 3 albums and include full production, with video animation, artwork and film as designed by Jamie Hewlett. Featured Artists are yet to be announced but recent live Gorillaz show's have included performances by De La Soul, Roses Gabor, Bobby Womack, Little Dragon, Mos Def, Kano, Bashy and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.

The line-up for The International Benicàssim Festival includes Kasabian, Ian Brown, The Specials, Public Image Ltd. (PiL), Dizzee Rascal, Vampire Weekend, Leftfield, Klaxons, The Courteeners, The Prodigy, Calvin Harris, Echo And The Bunnymen, Hot Chip, Mumford & Sons, Cut Copy, Yuksek, Magnetic Man featuring Skream & Benga, Ellie Goulding, The Cribs, Foals, and more. As well as this diverse array of musical performers, the festival has an extensive bill of non-musical entertainment, including dance, art, theatre, fashion, silent disco and short films.
