Gil Scott Heron appearance at Ether cancelled

Gil Scott-Heron's appearance at Ether 2010 tonight with Speech Debelle has been cancelled due to the volcanic ash cloud preventing his arrival.

The closing of British airspace due to the volcanic ash spreading across the UK from Iceland has resulted in Gil Scott-Heron being unable to reach the Southbank Centre for tonight's show.

Ether will be in touch with ticket holders directly to process refunds. Ether are also asking any festival goers who are affected by the travel problems and cannot attend a forthcoming event for which they have purchased tickets, to contact the Ticket Office prior to the event starting on 0844 847 9910 or by emailing customer@southbankcentre.co.uk.

Once again, technological pioneers and musical innovators past and present take over Southbank Centre for a series of concerts, talks and strange collaborations. Ether is currently in it's ninth edition and runs from Friday 9th until Saturday 24th April at the Southbank Centre.
