Martha Reeves and the Vandellas are to headline the Saturday night of the fifth Lounge on the Farm music festival.

Motown legends Martha Reeves and the Vandellas bring their original R&B sound, typified by '(Love Is Like a) Heat Wave', 'Nowhere to Run', 'Jimmy Mack' and' Dancing in the Street' as headliners of the Saturday night at Lounge On The Farm 2010.

Courtney Pine will headline the Further Stage on Sunday this year, Headlining The Flowerpot on Saturday will be Kitty Daisy & Lewis with DJ Yoda confirmed for Friday night in the Hoedown, and The Glimmers headlining on Saturday night.

Also confirmed are Fionn Regan, Tunng, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Cagedbaby, Male Bonding, Gaggle, Man Like Me (Live), King Charles, Circulus, Jesca Hoop, Treetop Flyers, Your Twenties, Don Letts, J*Star, Raf Daddy, Vadoinmessico, and Xylaroo. Joining them on the line-up are 6 Day Riot, Cats And Cats And Cats, Cocos Lovers, Elephants, Gaolers Daughter, Cha Cha, Polka Party, Two Wounded Birds, Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs, Intensified, Krissy and the Jackdaws, Slap Alice, and Natasha Davies.

They join the previously announced Toots & The Maytals, who headline the Cowshed on Sunday 11 July with a headlining performance.

The You Say They Play competition returns bigger and better in 2010. Expanding to give 36 local bands the chance to play at the festival, You Say They Play is a talent search that spans the whole of Kent - with Kent's two premier live music venues The Farmhouse, Canterbury and Tunbridge Wells Forum taking care of East and West Kent respectively via an online competition and showcase gigs. There will also be the School Of Rock - an under 18s bands stage that is the focal point of the Young Farmers area, catering for kids from 8-9 upwards. As well as kids' bands there'll be an under 18's discotheque with some big name DJs stopping by, and a weekend of music and arts workshops.

The five thousand capacity festival, features seven stages with over 160 bands playing over three days. The festival gives local bands and musicians a platform upon which to perform alongside established acts from round the country.

The dates for the fifth Lounge on the Farm music festival, which takes place at Merton Farm in Canterbury, are confirmed as Friday 9th to Sunday 11th of July 2010.

Full price adult weekend tickets are priced at £95, youth tickets (aged 13-17 on 09/07/2010) are priced at £75, child ticket (aged between 6-12 on 09/07/2010) are priced at £45, family tickets which allow entrance of 2 x adults and 2 x kids (aged 6 - 12 years) are priced at £210. Kids aged 5 or under go for a nominal fee of £1. Day tickets are will be on sale at a later date.

Lounge On The Farm also has The Meadow field which is an extension of everything Lounge On The Farm stands for. From an open air theatre stage and comedy, to a petting zoo, via pottery classes and foraging the Kentish countryside this is a slice of festival action with out the music.
