Easy Star All Stars have been announced for this year's 30th anniversary at Fairport's Cropredy Convention.

Easy Star All Stars
Based in New York, Easy Star All Stars have a worldwide following and have played in 25 countries on six continents. Their re-working of classic material will be performed in front of the Cropredy crowd with tracks from 'Dub Side of the Moon', 'RadioDread' and 'Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band'.

Festival co-organiser Simon Nicol, lead singer with Fairport Convention, said, "Easy Star All Stars might seem a bit left-field for Cropredy but we always put on a very wide range of music to appeal across genres and generations. Last year, Dreadzone (another dub-reggae band) was the surprise hit of the festival and we are sure All-Stars will be just as popular with the crowd. And with us, of course – we're big fans too."

Easy Star All Stars complete the 2010 Cropredy line-up of twenty acts performing for 30-odd hours over the weekend. This year's 30th anniversary of the festival will take place from Thursday 12th to Saturday 14th August 2010.

The full line-up of acts at Fairport's Cropredy Convention include Status Quo who will headline Thursday, with Bellowhead, Little Feat, Pauline Black, and Rick Wakeman also confirmed and Fairport Convention themselves headlining, as is traditional, on the Saturday. Other announced acts include 3 Daft Monkeys, Mabon, The Dixie Bee-Liners, Thea Gilmore, Martyn Joseph, The Martin Taylor Quartet, Breabach, James Findlay, Little Johnny England, Leatherat, and The Tindalls.
