Twisted Sister will fill the final headline slot at the 10th anniversary edition of Bloodstock Open Air.

The legendary US metallers of Dee Snider, Jay Jay French, Eddie 'Fingers' Ojeda, A. J. Pero, and Mark 'The Animal' Mendoza will make their first UK outdoor festival performance since 1983's Monsters Of Rock. Festival goers at Catton Hall are set to rock out to classics such as 'I Wanna Rock', 'Leader Of The Pack', 'Burn In Hell' and 'We're Not Gonna Take It' on the opening night of the three day event.

Joining them on the line-up are Finnish metallers Ensiferum returning to Bloodstock for the first time since 2006 with an exclusive festival appearance.

German power-metallers Edguy also make a return to the Bloodstock on the Saturday. Frontman Tobias Sammet said of this, their only UK Festival appearance, "We've played Bloodstock twice and I am more than happy to be part of the 10th anniversary edition of the festival once more. I love playing England because I feel they understand us so well. I mean, despite the accent. I seriously love: Magnum, Robin Hood, tea, Def Leppard, John Wayne, I love England. I love the Indian cuisine, I admire mostly British bands, I love to hear proper English, and who am I to tell you are driving on the wrong side of the streets?"

Bloodstock's 10th Anniversary will take place from Friday 13th until Sunday 15th August 2010 at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshire.

They join a line-up that includes headliners Children Of Bodom, Heaven & Hell, and Fear Factory, plus GWAR, Gojira, Korpiklaani, Obituary, Suffocation, Behemoth, and more. Expect Bloodstock to provide a line-up of both established and the yet to be announced unsigned metal bands. For the line-up details of those acts announced so far please click here.

As well as the international heavy metal bands across three stages, Bloodstock offers a large selection of merchandise stalls, metal karaoke, a campsite and a wide selection of food and bars.

Tickets are available and include camping priced at £99.95 for adults and £40 for children, and £30 for a campervan ticket, and £10 for a car parking pass. Day tickets are expected to be on sale at a later date. To buy tickets, click here.
