Blondie have announced a forest gig this summer in Gloucestershire as part of 'Forestry Commission Live Music' - a series of concerts by an eclectic mix of acts in spectacular woodland locations around the country.

Blondie have announced they will be appearing at Westonbirt Arboretum, Nr Tetbury, in Gloucestershire on Sunday 20th June.

The band emerged from New York's new wave scene producing innovative music and scoring major hits worldwide with rock/disco, reggae and hip-hop songs. Fronted by the iconic Debbie Harry, their groundbreaking material brought them a stash of hit singles including 'Denis', 'Picture This', 'Rapture', 'Sunday Girl' and 'Hanging On The Telephone'. Few acts can match their 20 year span of No 1 hits that includes 'Heart Of Glass', 'Atomic', 'Call Me', 'The Tide Is High' and 'Maria'. Classic recordings like 'Plastic Letters', 'Parallel Lines' and 'Eat to The Beat' have contributed to their 40 million + album sales to date. Blondie will release a new album, their first in six years, this spring and are sure to air a few new tracks at Westonbirt Arboretum.

Tickets will be priced at £33, and go on sale from 9.00am this Friday 12th February and eFestivals will have links for you to buy them then.

Forestry Commission Live Music introduces some music fans to a woodland environment for the first time. Many of them come back to enjoy the beautiful surroundings for healthy and fun outdoor recreation including walking, mountain biking and watching wildlife.
