Summer Sundae Weekender has always taken pains to create an environment that looks to fully engage both youngsters and adults alike; it is truly a festival for all ages. In-house surveys have shown that the festival has become a destination festival for those looking for an eclectic mix of performers in a relatively small and un-crowded environment. 2009 saw 60% of the attendees return as veterans to the festival.

Year on year Summer Sundae Weekender has delivered a broad spectrum of emerging and established artists from the field of music, comedy and spoken across its stages. Past headliners have included Belle and Sebastian, Patti Smith, The Charlatans and The Magic Numbers while always keeping its finger firmly on the pulse of what's fresh, new and earmarked acts for the bigtime. In years gone by Amy Winehouse, Kate Nash, Jamie T, Hot Chip, Editors and Kasabian have all appeared on the Summer Sundae Weekender stage during the early stages of their careers.
