Grunge legends Pearl Jam have been announced as headliners for Poland's Open'er Festival.

Seattle's Pearl Jam are celebrating their 20th anniversary next year, and will mark it wiith a headlining performance. The band have performed their classics such as 'Alive', 'Jeremy', 'Rearviewmirror', 'Better Man' and 'World Wide Suicide' to packed venues in Poland before but have never played a summer festival in Poland.

Mikolaj Ziolkowski, Open'er Festival Promoter said, "Let's start the adventure called Open'er 2010. And how are we starting it? There are only a few bands so important for the music of the last 2 decades and so important for the Polish and the international audience, playing amazing concerts - full of energy and passion. We're proud and happy to announce that in the year of their 20th anniversary Pearl Jam will perform at Open'er Festival."

Offering festival goers some top international musicians along with a host of Polish music and theatre acts, the 9th Heineken Open'er Festival takes place in Babie Doly Airfield, Gdynia, Poland for four days between Thursday 1st and Sunday 4th July 2010.

Open'er is Poland's largest music and performing arts festival, the total area of festival in Babie Doly airfield is 75 hectares of space with seven stages, around 120 artists, festival town with merchandising area, gastronomic zones, camp site, beach, sea and sun, space for sport activities and multimedia, NGO's, films, theatres and performances. The festival is easily accessible via low-cost airlines, it's a great alternative if you fail to get your hands on the UK festival ticket you wanted, and the organises promise a few new surprises for 2010.

Tickets are on sale at the following 'early bird' prices until 15th January:-
- 4-day ticket without camping: 320 PLN (approx. £70)
- 3-day ticket without camping: 260 PLN (approx. £57)
- 1-day tickets: 155 PLN (approx £34) available after Friday 15th January
- a camping pass: 40 PLN (approx. £9)

The early bird ticket offer ends on Friday 15th January when the price for a 3 day ticket rises to 290 PLN (approx. £63), with the 4 day Ticket priced at 390 PLN (approx. £86). To buy tickets, click here.
