NOFX have been confirmed as the first act to play Scandinavia's Roskilde festival.

The American punk rock band from San Francisco, California, formed in 1983 and have released 12 studio albums, and independently sold over 6 million records worldwide, making them one of the most successful independent acts of all time. The band will be bringing their brand of respectless, witty, and angry music to the Danish festival next summer.

Often mentioned in the same breath as Glastonbury, Roskilde is continental Europe's biggest festival. The festival offers a variety of international acts and four days of music from Thursday 1st until Sunday 4th July 2010. There are also warm up events which run from Saturday 27th June until the start of the festival.
