Each year The Great Escape partners with a country and this year organiser have announced the country will be Australia as The Great Escape joins forces with Sounds Australia.

Sounds Australia is Australia's national music export initiative, and their partnership will see a litany of Australia's most exciting musical offerings making the journey to the UK's south coast to join up with 350+ bands performing in 30 venues spread across Brighton over the course of three days. The Great Escape annually features hundreds of international and UK pop, cutting edge, hip hop, electronic, and rock acts showcased at venues all over Brighton from Thursday 13th until Saturday 15th May 2010.

Artist Registration for The Great Escape 2010 is now open for Australian bands too. Those Australian bands who are interested in click here and complete the online application form to be considered for a spot at the showcase.

Early bird tickets are on sale until Monday 21st December, priced at £35. The ticket entitles you to entry to all gig venues over the 3 days for over 18s only. To buy tickets click here.
