Status Quo are the first act to be confirmed for next summer's GuilFest as the headline act on Sunday 18th July.

Status Quo, who last played the festival in 2005, have notched up 22 top ten UK singles since their first, 'Pictures Of Matchstick Men', reached number 7 in the UK chart in January 1968. They have spent over seven and a half years in the British singles chart in all.

Status Quo promise get Stoke Park, Guilford in Surrey rocking with their feel-good singalong hits including 'Rockin' All Over The World', 'Whatever You Want', 'Caroline', 'Down Down', 'The Wanderer', and more.

Rick Parfitt is a local boy from neighbouring Woking, as is the festival's organiser Tony Scott. He is currently working with Rolf Harris to release the forthcoming festive single 'Christmas In The Sun'.

The family friendly festival will take place from Friday 16th until Sunday 18th July 2010 and is offering an 'early bird' special Christmas discount on tickets for next year. 1000 weekend and camping tickets are now available at a reduced price with adult tickets reduced by £10 and Kids tickets reduced by £5.

On top of the early bird ticket, GuilFest is also offering a group discount. For every 8 weekend or weekend and camping tickets purchased, festival goers will receive an extra one for free!

These offers are only available until Christmas Eve.

Tickets are priced at £90 for an adult weekend, or £100 weekend with camping. Children between 12 and 15 years old tickets are priced at £50 for the weekend, £60 for weekend with camping. N.B. Children between 12 – 15 must be accompanied by an adult. People aged 16 years and over will have to purchase an adult ticket. Children aged 11 years and younger are admitted free as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Campervan tickets are priced at £60.

GuilFest is a great laid-back festival where visitors can enjoy a great weekend featuring 7 stages of live music hosting more than 200 acts, plus Cosmic Comedy Zone, the Theatre tent, the incredibly popular Farmer Giles Barn Dance, street theatre, arts and crafts, delicious food and drink from all over the globe, bars and cocktail bars, and a wonderful atmosphere. The festival also has an extensive children's area, The KidZone, and much more besides. Also - back by popular demand and much larger for 2010 will be the jumping 70's disco tent.
