American death metallers Cannibal Corpse have confirmed their first ever UK festival appearance will be at next year's Bloodstock Open Air festival.

The brutal New Yorkers will be flying in from Buffalo, NY next summer for their first ever UK festival performance, which the band are eager to deliver a crunching performance.

Drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz said, "We are extremely excited to be playing Bloodstock! It will be our first ever festival appearance in the UK and we can't wait to tear it up for the masses!"

They join a line-up that will include established and unsigned metal bands with Obituary, Suffocation, Leaves Eyes, Doro, Devin Townsend, Behemoth, Dream Evil, Andromeda, Ross The Boss, and Rage already confirmed. For the line-up details, and rumours as available please click here.

Bloodstock will take place from Friday 13th until Sunday 15th August 2010 at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshire. The aim is to offer a traditional metal event comparable to those regularly seen in Europe (but on a smaller scale of 6,000-10,000 capacity), and capturing the spirit of the original Monsters Of Rock shows which used to take place at Castle Donington during the 1980's and 1990's.

As well as the international heavy metal bands across three stages, Bloodstock offers a large selection of merchandise stalls, metal karaoke, a campsite and a wide selection of food and bars.

Early bird tickets are available until Christmas and include camping priced at £89.95 for adults and £39.95 for children, and £30 for a campervan ticket, and £10 for a car parking pass. Day tickets are expected to be on sale at a later date. To buy tickets, click here.
