Pavement to curate ATP Festival in May 2010

US band Pavement will headlining and curating the All Tomorrows Parties weekend two in 2010 happening next year from Friday 14th May until Sunday 2nd May.

The nineties American band is returning to the stage with the line-up of Mark Ibold, Scott 'Spiral Stairs' Kannberg, Stephen Malkmus, Bob Nastanovich and Steve West reuniting for dates around the world in 2010 including the curating of ATP.

Described in their own Wikipedia entry as having experienced "moderate commercial success," Pavement's catalogue for the Matador, Domino, Drag City and Treble Kicker imprints has come to define in the eyes of many, the blueprint for independent rock over the past generation.

Tickets for All Tomorrows Parties curated by Pavement will go on-sale at 9am on Friday 9th October and eFestivals will have links for you to buy them then.

For one week the organisers have decided to offer a special reduced price on a limited allocation of tickets. Everyone purchasing tickets for seven days, until 9:00am on Friday 16th October, or until the allocation runs out will receive £10 off their ticket price. That means a room only ticket will be priced at £150 and a self catering room ticket will be £160.

ATP will again be running a deposit scheme for tickets. This will offer a limited number of 4 berth apartments, both room-only and self-catering to be paid for with a small deposit upfront, and the remaining amount to be paid by the end of January 2010. These chalets will be sold at full price - £160 per person room only or £170 per person self catered.

People who would like to hold a 4 berth room only, must pay a deposit of £60 per person, (£240 for the apartment). The remaining £430 must be paid by Sunday 31st January.

All tickets include a 3-day festival pass and 3 nights accommodation. Ticket includes performances starting from mid-afternoon, with around 40 acts set to play live across the weekend. There are four pubs and DJ sets through till late.

Butlins Minehead looks out across a sandy beach. The site is equipped with a supermarket, newsagent, cash points and restaurants. Onsite facilities include an ATP programmed cinema, Splash Water World - a sub-tropical environment that has a wave pool, a swimming pool, 3 flumes and also a flume based raft ride - Ten-pin bowling and amusement arcade. Sports include Archery, Football, Basketball, Darts, Petanque, Fencing, Kwik Cricket, Netball, Rounders, Table Tennis, Outdoor Bowls and Crazy Golf.
