Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a man at V Festival, Chelmsford on the last day of the festival.

The incident took place between 4pm and 8pm on Sunday 23rd August in the Arena Stage tent. A 50-year-old from Chelmsford was punched in the face after asking a man to stop bothering a group of girls. When the victim fell to the floor the suspect jumped on the man's left leg, breaking it in two places.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s of large build with short brown hair and a tanned complexion.

eFestivals would like to point out that this sort of assault at festivals occurs rarely, and hopes the scumbag who perpetrated the attack is caught.
