Loopallu announces final acts

line-up completed with Bronto Skylift, Polly & the Billets Deux, and more

Highland duo Bronto Skylift, and Polly & The Billets Doux are amongst the final acts announced for this month's Loopallu.

Bronto Skylift, and Polly & The Billets Doux are joined by celtic dance cross-over act Grousebeater Sound System, Glaswegian quirky indie poppers The French Wives, and home grown talent The Naked Strangers.

They join a bill which has the The View headlining, plus The Codeine Velvet Club, The Neville Staple Band, Lightning Seeds, Mumford & Sons, The Dykeenies, Kid British, and The Family Mahone. This year's festival will take place on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September at Ullapool, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland.

Tickets for the festival are on sale, priced at £55 without camping. Loopallu has sold out of all weekend camping and caravan tickets. Under-12s are free, though everyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult.

Situated in the pretty little fishing village of Ullapool on the shores Loch Broom Loopallu has activities for all ages in addition to the music. There are no acts confirmed yet for the event in 2009. The festival also offers local food and drink along with fringe events throughout the village.
