Tickets go on sale today for Muse's Seaside Renezvous in their Devonshire home town.

The trio's two live shows will take place on Teignmouth's Den on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th September 2009. Tickets are priced at £37.50 and go on sale at 9am today. The Den, a beach fronted lawned open space that runs the length of the beachside resort. Bassist Chris Wolstenholme said of the concerts, "It is something we have wanted to do for a long time. It is not a money making exercise. We want to give something back to the community."

Muse have returned to Teignmouth several times in the past to pay tribute to their home. They opened a £3million arts centre at Teignmouth Community College in 2004 and secretly used the nearby Coombeshead College as a rehearsal space for their 2003 world tour. It is expected that the band will make a contribution to the town again this year with some of the proceeds from the event.

The concerts will take place before Muse embark on a 10-week tour of America and Europe. Muse's forthcoming fifth album 'The Resistance' will be released on Monday 14th September.
