The View will headline this year's Loopallu festival.

The View
The View return to the festival three years after their last appearance when they were still relative unknown.

Also joining the line up is Neville Staple, singer from legendary two-tone ska band The Specials, forming member of Fun Boy Three and now with his own band, The Neville Staple Band.

Robert Hicks Loopallu promoter, said, "We're over the moon landing another of Scotland's biggest bands to headline one of its smallest festivals. Its further proof that our size and location are our two biggest selling points to these bands, rather than seeming them as hindrances. On the back of Belladrum selling out and leaving lots of fans wanting more we expect Loopallu to sell out even faster than normal."

Both acts join a bill which has the Lightning Seeds, Mumford & Sons, The Dykeenies, Kid British, and The Family Mahone. This year's festival will take place on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September at Ullapool, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland.

Tickets for the festival are on sale, priced at £55, with camping £15 extra. Under-12s are free, though everyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult. Camping is an additional £15, and campervans/caravans £25.

Situated in the pretty little fishing village of Ullapool on the shores Loch Broom Loopallu has activities for all ages in addition to the music. There are no acts confirmed yet for the event in 2009. The festival also offers local food and drink along with fringe events throughout the village.
