Noah and the Whale are the latest act to be announced for this year's Reading & Leeds Festivals. They'll play on the Main Stage - at Reading on the Sunday and at Leeds on the Saturday.

With their second album, 'The First Days Of Spring' due to be released the day after the festival and a bona fide massive hit from their first in the shape of 'Five Years Time', Noah and the Whale are all set to continue their rise to prominence. Also newly confirmed are The XX, who'll perform on the Festival Republic Stage, on a day to be confirmed.

The festivals have headliners of Kings Of Leon (Reading Friday/Leeds Sunday), Arctic Monkeys (Reading Saturday/Leeds Friday), and Radiohead (Reading Sunday/Leeds Saturday), with other acts including Kaiser Chiefs, Placebo, The Prodigy, Maximo Park, Ian Brown, Bloc Party, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, Gossip, Glasvegas, and many more.

The festival will feature a full line-up of over 150 acts over the bank holiday weekend accros six stages from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August.

Reading Festival takes place at Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire, and Leeds Festival takes place at Bramham Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Reading Festival tickets have completely sold out. There are a few day tickets still available for Leeds on Friday, or Saturday priced at £70 for either day (and do not include camping).
