Kicking off this year's festival will be Reverend And The Makers, making their LMW debut, the band will be performing at Nation on Saturday 7th November.

LMW Founder & Director Mike Deane said, "It was always going to be a difficult task to better the amazing year we had in '08, and we've worked extremely hard since the start of the year to ensure the festival is once again bigger and better. This is just the first of several big announcements for Liverpool Music Week 2009."

Liverpool Music Week is billed as the UK's largest indoor winter music festival and will be staging over 80 events, across 26 venues and will play host to over 250 live bands. The festival format is a combination of ticketed shows and free shows, with artists including the well known live acts, and new emerging talent.

As well as staging a huge agenda of live music events, Liverpool Music Week will also be running a series of panels and seminars featuring some of the UK's music industry movers & shakers who will come together to discuss issues and opportunities within the sector and to offer advice and support to a range of related music businesses, artists and individuals with a desire to enter the music industry.
