Anathema, Wolf, and Arthemis have been confirmed for Bloodstock Open Air.

Playing the Open Air Stage on Saturday are Swedish Metal-heads Wolf, the same stage on Sunday sees nineties Doom-death pioneers Anathema, and added to the line-up on the Sophie Lancaster Stage are melodic power-metallers Arthemis.

In other news, this year there will be a new place to drink at BOA the 'Bloodstock Arms' with a local pub feel. Bloodstock organiser Paul has even put brush to canvass and designed an official pub swing sign to be hung outside the main bar.

Bloodstock Open Air takes place from Friday 14th until Sunday 16th August at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, South Derbyshire.

Bands so far confirmed for this year's Bloodstock Open Air include exclusive UK performances by Carcass, Arch Enemy (both Fri headliners) Blind Guardian, Cradle Of Filth (both Sat headliners) with support from Sabaton, Enslaved, and Turisas, plus Amon Amarth, Saxon, The Haunted, Girlschool, Katatonia, Candlemass, Satyricon, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter (Horsemen Of The Apocalypse), and more. As well as the international heavy metal bands across three stages, Bloodstock offers a large selection of merchandise stalls, metal karaoke, a campsite and a wide selection of food and bars.
