Dance headliners announced for Wizard

The Japanese Popstars, and Streetlife DJs will be headlining the Banshee stage at Scotland's Wizard Festival.

Wizard's second stage will be taken over by dance club Snafu for both the Friday and Saturday night of the festival.

Confirmed to headline the stage on Friday are The Japanese Popstars, with Streetlife DJs, topping the bill on Saturday.

Steve Morris, managing Director of Snafu said, ""Snafu is delighted to be involved in this year's Wizard Festival. Bringing Streetlife DJ's and Japanese Popstars to the Festival is going to add a whole new dimension to Wizard. In terms of attracting as many music lovers as possible from across the board we have worked hard to provide something for everyone. Snafu has a great reputation for providing impressive DJs and live acts to the Aberdeen music scene and we are really excited about taking Snafu out to Wizard and watching some of our favourite DJ's perform in a festival setting."

Further acts have also been announced in support of the headline performers including Harri, Snafu DJs including Giles Walker, DJ Lunik and Funky Transport, The Cuban Brothers (DJ Set), Mr Green, and Greg Gibb. More acts will be announced for the second stage dance programme in the coming weeks.

Festival organiser Roy Thain said, "Snafu is undoubtedly one of Scotland's best clubs. We couldn't resist this opportunity to provide even more top class entertainment to Wizard fans from a club that is based right on the festival's doorstep. We are really excited to have Snafu involved in the event this year and we think fans at Wizard are going to be thrilled with the top class DJ acts that have been added to the bill."

Headlining on Friday are Levellers, with support from The Beat, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, and King Voodoo. Saturday headliners will be The Charlatans, with Buzzcocks, and The Travelling Band in support. Other acts include Vic Galloway, Proud Mary, and Celtallica. More acts will be announced shortly.

Tickets are on sale priced at £70 for an adult weekend ticket (includes camping & parking from 1pm Fri to noon Sun) or £45 for a Saturday adult day ticket (includes camping & parking Saturday only), a campervan/caravan ticket is priced at £20. Children 12 years old and under go free.
