first acts announced for Loopallu 2009

Lightning Seeds are amongst the first acts to be announced for this year's Loopallu festival which takes place over Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September at Ullapool, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland.

Joining the recently reformed Lightning Seeds are London Folk outfit Mumford & Sons, Scotland's own The Dykeenies, and Kid British, as well as the return of firm festival favourite and BBC Radio 2 presenter Mark Radcliffe and his band The Family Mahone.

Tickets for the festival are on sale, priced at £55, with camping £15 extra. Under-12s are free, though everyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult. Camping is an additional £15, and campervans/caravans £25.

Situated in the pretty little fishing village of Ullapool on the shores Loch Broom Loopallu has activities for all ages in addition to the music. There are no acts confirmed yet for the event in 2009. The festival also offers local food and drink along with fringe events throughout the village.
