More on this year's Comedy Tent line-up:

Robin Ince is a regular on Radio 4's Loose Ends and a frequent guest on The Now Show as well as numerous comedy shows such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks, The Comedy Store, Lab Rats, and Mock The Week.

Nick Revell began his stand-up career at the Comedy Store in 1980 and during those formative years of the UK comedy scene was an influential and highly regarded performer and writer. His thought provoking comedy is hugely relevant in today's credit crunch times as it was during the Thatcher years.

Isy Suttie is a disarmingly, sometimes deceivingly, sweet and charming comic. Quirky and stylish with a wry, weird and very witty repertoire of stories, idiosyncratic observations and comedy songs.

Doc Brown is a charismatic rapper who offers a welcome alternative to straight stand-up.

Andrew Bird offers well crafted, funny anecdotes from his past and present and is revelling in the immaturity of his grown-up life.

Bob Mills is a comic institution and his popularity as a stand-up doesn't falter. He delivers a unique, challenging brand of laddish irreverent stand-up. He has a string of acclaimed TV and radio credits including 'In Bed with Me Dinner' and regularly appears on BBCR5 Live 'Fighting Talk'.

Paul sinha is a highly original pioneering Asian comic, his uncluttered one-liners are delivered with the crisp clarity of cut glass. He doesn't so much walk the line between controversy and outrage as use it for a skipping rope.

Seann Walsh has a genuine buzz about him that makes audiences and critics sit up and take notice and has had him heralded as one of the most exciting new talents of the last 10 years.

Michael Smiley's comedy is heart-warming, shocking and ultimately hilarious, this hugely experienced comic (known from TV's Spaced, 15 Storeys High amongst others) is a rare and solid comedy treat.

Stuart Black comedy is intelligent, twisted, and dark as he ponders life's mysteries and frustrations. He's warm, engaging and dangerously funny.

Christian Reilly blends stand-up with dynamic guitar/vocal abilities to relate his unique experience with a sharp wit, youthful energy and effortless charm – with the occasional snipe at histrionic rock bands, musical theatre and morose indie musicians.

Simon Fox with a flair for backchat, his relentless delivery keeps the energy levels lively, and his craft in telling the jokes is faultless. Established as one of the UK's best loved live comedians, his sharp material, rapid-fire delivery and relaxed stage presence are guaranteed crowd pleasers.

Quincy is effortlessly charming and entertaining. A regular for Jonglueurs and the Comedy Store. He's big, bold and fun.

John Mann has a sharp observation and wry wit mingled effortlessly with a gentle and confident rapport, his gentle and honest delivery makes him one of the most enjoyable comedians on the circuit today.

Steve Williams is a lofty Welsh comedian & writer, with a love of sheep who has played every major comedy club in the country.

Eddy Brimson was initially a sports writer, before turning his hand to stand up. His intelligent banter, and cheeky charm have made him a hit on the comedy circuit.

Nick Page got into comedy for a bet, and he's still not sure if he's won. His material is a surprising mixture of cynical observation and storytelling, drawing on his useless degree (International Politics and Far Eastern History) and inability to do a proper job (he was an estate agent but is mostly cured).

Chris Martin is one of the newest and most exciting acts to hit the comedy circuit. His wholly original social commentary, observations and anecdotes are his trade mark.

Gerry Howell's imagination casts itself far and wide as he recounts his early years growing up in a post office or his experiences playing chess with pandas. Gerry's won a host of recent accolades for his weirdly wonderful stream-of-consciousness.
