Further additions include Booker T. Jones, Paul Brady, The Waterson Family, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Oumou Sangare, Martin Simpson, Susan Tedeschi, and Blazin Fiddles.
There will also be performances from Edward II, Lau, Jim Moray, Imelda May, Mairtin O'Connor, Cathal Hayden & Seamie O'Dowd, Diana Jones, Adrian Edmondson & The Bad Shepherds, Watermelon Slim & The Workers, an exclusive UK festival appearance from Hayes Carll, and Jon Boden & The Remnant Kings.
The line-up will also include Hot Club Of Cowtown, Crooked Still, Brian McNeill, Alela Diane, The Demon Barbers, Bella Hardy, Pete Molinari, Genticorum, and Rupa & The April Fishes.
The raft of new acts announced today is completed by The Treacherous Orchestra, New Rope String Band, Mumford & Sons, The Shee, Megan & Joe Henwood, Steamchicken, Ruaridh Macmillan, Calan, and Sunday Driver.
This festival's prestigious reputation for quality music in intimate surroundings means tickets always sell out very quickly. The music is much more than traditional folk.
The festival takes place from Thursday 30th July until Sunday 2nd August 2009. Tickets will be priced at £104 for a full adult festival pass (not including camping), day tickets will be priced as follows - Friday £35; Saturday £46; and Sunday £46. Camping will be available for full festival ticket holders only, priced at £32 per 2-3 berth tent. Tickets are expected on sale from Sunday 17th May and eFestivals will have links to buy then.
