Happy Mondays will headline the Sunday night at this year's GuilFest.

Joining the '24 Hour Party People' on the bill will be fellow Madchester scenesters The Charlatans.

Shaun Ryder, and bandmates Bez, and Gaz Whelan, will be bringing their nineties anthems such as 'Step On', 'Kinky Afro', and 'Stinkin, Thinkin', to the Main Stage. Their mix of indie rock, psychedelic rock, and dance music is sure to be a great climax of the festival.

They join the headliners for the Friday and Saturday, Motorhead, and Brian Wilson respectively.

The Charlatans have ten studio albums under their belts, and GuilFest goers can expect back-to-back anthemic indie tunes from the main stage on Saturday evening.

The line-up over GuilFest's seven music stages will continue to grow over the next few weeks along with the names of top performers for both the comedy and theatre tent.

Tickets are priced at £100 for an adult weekend, and £110 for a weekend with camping. Tickets for children between 12 and 16 years old are priced at £50 for the weekend, or £60 for weekend with camping. N.B. Children aged between 12 – 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged under 12 have free entry with a ticket holding adult.

GuilFest 2009 which happens over the weekend of Friday 10th until Sunday 12th July, in Stoke Park, Guildford will once again offer great facilities across the board including the 150ft bar, cocktail bars, great food, a huge variety of stalls, and the GuilFest Kidzone – with loads of fun, games, face painting, drum sessions, musical workshops, parades and much more – culminating in a huge procession around the park on Sunday.

The Farmer Giles Barn Dance returns for 2009, along with many other attractions such as the theatre tent, the Rock Disco, and the acoustic stage. New for this year is the '70s Disco featuring classics from the disco and northern soul era which is sure to be have festival goers grooving late into the night.
