GuilFest organisers have announced that Brian Wilson will be bringing 'Good Vibrations' to the Main Stage on the Saturday as their headliner.

Joining the legendary songwriter and performer of The Beach Boys on this year's line-up will be classic heavy metallers Motorhead.

Brian Wilson, songwriter and original member of The Beach Boys, can be credited as having written or co-written some of the best known anthems in the history of pop including 'Surfin USA'. 'Help Me Rhonda', 'California Girls', 'I Get Around', and 'Good Vibrations' and has a career that has spanned almost half a century.

This will be a rare occasion to see a true musical legend when he headlines the main stage at GuilFest on Saturday night, where nearly everyone both young and old will be singing along to his classic songs - it's a guaranteed great time!

Motörhead's Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee are sure to play one of the best known heavy metal tracks in the world today – 'The Ace Of Spades', as well as songs from their latest rockin' opus 'Motörizer'. Now in their third decade together, 2009 also marks guitarist Phil Campbell's 25th anniversary with Motorhead.

Lemmy and co will headline the GuilFest Main Stage on the opening night and are guaranteed to get the crowd rockin'.

GuilFest 2009 will, over the weekend of Friday 10th until Sunday 12th July, feature more than more than 200 acts which will be announced for the festival over the coming months.

GuilFest is held in Stoke Park, Guildford, visitors can expect a great weekend featuring 7 stages of live music, plus comedy, theatre, children’s entertainment, Farmer Giles’ barn dance, street theatre, art and crafts, delicious food and drink from around the world, and a wonderful atmosphere. The festival also has a late licensed 150 foot beer tent and cocktail bar, and an extensive children’s area, The KidZone.

Tickets are priced at £100 for an adult weekend, £110 weekend with camping. Children between 12 and 16 years old tickets are priced at £50 for the weekend, £60 for weekend with camping. N.B. Children aged between 12 – 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged under 12 have free entry with a ticket holding adult.
