Larmer Tree festival announce Oi Va Voi, and DJ Derek

Oi Va Voi, and DJ Derek, are amongst the latest additions to this year's Larmer Tree Festival line-up.

London-based Oi Va Voi will be bringing their feisty brand of Jewish music which fuses klezmer and Ladino with contemporary electronics to the Sunday line-up.

The legendary DJ Derek is back to host the 'End of Festival Party' in Club Larmer on Sunday night. His blend of 60s rocksteady, reggae, ska, dancehall and soul music has made him an icon in the industry.

Other recent additions to the festival bill include Dennis Hopper Choppers, Cut A Shine, Zong Zing All Stars, and Paul Armfield. The headliner for Saturday night is still to be announced.

Larmer Tree happens from Wednesday 15th until Sunday 19th July at Larmer Tree Gardens, on the Wilts./Dorset border.

The acts confirmed for 2009 include: Jools Holland and the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra with Dave Edmunds playing on the Wednesday, and Richard Thompson headlining on the Thursday. Other artists include Shantel & Bucovina Club Orkestar (headlining the Friday), The Imaged Village (headlining Sunday) Dreadzone, Transglobal Underground, Pama International, Tinderbox, The Travelling Band, The Hats, Moon Music Orchestra, David Celia, Mawkin:Causley, The Shee, Megson, Hobo Jones & the Junkyard Dogs, Edward II, The Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain, Hot Club of Cowtown, The Teak Project, and more. Tickets are now on sale, priced at £177 for 5 days, £144 for 4 days, £115 for 3 days, and day tickets priced at £37 to £57 dependant on day.The ticket price includes camping for the night of the date of a ticket. Tickets have sold out for the past 14 years.
