Scottish rock group Mogwai have been announced as the headliners for London's Field Day.

Malcolm Middleton
Electro wizard Four Tet, will also be returning to London's Victoria Park after his first appearance at the inaugural event two year's ago. Further announcements for the line-up include folkster James Yorkston, Brooklyn eccentrics Apes & Androids, former Arab Strap multi-instrumentalist Malcolm Middleton, Hungarian Fennesz, dubstep DJ Skream, and post rock ravers Errors.

This is just the first announcement of DJ's and bands for Field Day which offers festival goers a choice of multiple music stages and fete activities with a twist. The event which happens on Saturday 1st August 2009 is a summer event bringing together many of London's alternative concert and club promoters (Eat Your Own Ears, Adventures In The Beetroot Field, Bugged Out!) to produce a day of music, dancing and maximum hoopla set in London's heartland.

Field Day's very own village green will host stalls and activities throughout the daytime, ranging from sack-racing, to whack-the-rat, bowling for bacon, a coconut shy, tombola, and more.
Tickets are priced at £29.50. To buy tickets, click here.
