Live Nation win tender for Hyde Park for the next three years

securing the future of Wireless, and Hard Rock Calling

Live Nation has confirmed that it has completed a three year agreement with Royal Parks to continue to stage the festivals Wireless and Hard Rock Calling in Hyde Park until 2011.

Royal Parks, who manage the park in London, invited several bidders to submit a formal tender proposal, and Live Nation successfully retained the contract which extends their ten year history with Royal Parks. Over the year's Live Nation has used the park to host live events like Party in the Park, Live 8, Picnic in the Park, Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday Concert as well as staging numerous large music concerts, and festivals.

John Probyn, Festival Director at Live Nation, commented: "Hyde Park is a unique venue in the middle of a unique city. We intend to continue to bring the very best in music and entertainment to the heart of the community. I am delighted that we can continue to develop shows in Hyde Park and work with the professional agencies who support us such as Royal Parks, Westminster City Council, the Metropolitan Police and our partners."

Live Nation are the largest producer of live music concerts in the world, annually producing over 16,000 concerts for 1,500 artists in 57 countries.
