Finnish Viking power-metallers with a penchant for red paint Turisas are the latest exclusive addition to the line-up for next year's Bloodstock Open Air which will take place from Friday 14th until Sunday 16th August at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, South Derbyshire.

Turisas
After extensively touring the UK, Europe and the USA, Turisas return to these shores for this their only UK appearance in 2009. The band previously made their festival debut at Bloodstock in 2007 and return to the main stage with their sub-genre creating brand of battle metal - music with a strong influence from Northern European folk history.

The other bands so far confirmed for next year include Sabaton, Wintersun, and The Haunted. Bloodstock Open Air festival, aims to offer a traditional heavy metal music festival to re-capture the spirit of the original Monsters Of Rock shows which used to take place at Castle Donington during the 1980's and 1990's.
