There's a special gig on offer to anyone in the Somerset area this weekend, on Friday 19th September, it is The Pilton Equinox Party, which is held on farmland at Worthy Farm, Somerset not far from where the Pyramid Stage is sited at the Glastonbury Festival.
The Equinox Party has the feel of a mini festival, with no camping, and is being put on by Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis as a thank you to the locals of Pilton for having the festival.
The line-up for this event, which takes place under the cover of a marquee and also has a few stalls, caterers, and a bar is headlined by Franz Ferdinand, with support from The Ting Tings, The Travelling Band, and Major Major.
Tickets are not posted out and can only be obtained in advance from the Festival Office in Glastonbury town, telephone 01458 834 596. Those wanting tickets must pick them up at the office before 4pm on Friday and can then enjoy a fantastic evening of music with a festival vibe, experiencing the site when it isn't covered by the summer event.
