It's time to break out the tent and the sandals as the weather forecasters are predicting that there is some great summery weather heading our way at last.

There's an area of high pressure situated just to the east of the UK which heads over the country towards the middle of the week. This will bring us some much warmer days from the south by the middle of the week.

So, with the sun finally about to shine, it's surely time to head for a festival this weekend and there are plenty of them around, here's eFestivals' quick round up of a few of the events on offer this weekend.

Secret Garden Party in the sun


Starting this Thursday in Cambridgeshire is The Secret Garden Party, tickets are priced at £125 for an adult weekend ticket and has a line-up including Grace Jones, Glasvegas, Morcheeba, Florence & The Machine, Infadels, Cage The Elephant, 2Many Wedding DJs, Atomic Hooligan, Kissy Sell Out, Late Of The Pier, and more. WOMAD in the sun


In Weymouth this weekend is the two day family friendly festival Evolve 08 an adult ticket is £30 and the entertainment includes Lou Rhodes, 3 Daft Monkeys, Mawkin:Causley, Pronghorn, Show of Hands with Miranda Sykes, Tim Van Eyken, and more. Friday and Saturday in Warwickshire is the hedonistic weekend of Global Gathering with Kanye West, Mark Ronson, Roisin Murphy, Robyn, Sam Sparro, Hadouken!, Filthy Dukes, Moby, 2 Many DJs, and many more playing the dance based event. Blues fans should head to Cumbria this weekend of the three day Maryport Blues Festival which is offering a host of legends including Chuck Berry, Jimmie Vaughan, Jools Holland and the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Beth Rowley, and more. Warwick Folk Festival is a three day event which takes place in the West Midlands. The confirmed acts include Bellowhead, Oysterband, Bob Fox, The Young Coppers, Jez Lowe and The Bad Pennies, Dave Pegg & PJ Wright, and Rachel Unthank & the Winterset, and there are walk up tickets available priced at £74 for adults.
