The five new artists announced are Welsh quintet Lostprophets, American blues indie-rockers The Hold Steady, 17 year old Australian singer/songwiter Gabriella Cilmi, East London boy Leon Jean-Marie, and UK r'n'b producer and singer Taio Cruz. They will all being appearing at both sites.
Festival Director, Bob Angus stated, "As always, we aim to deliver the best line-up and offer something that everyone can enjoy. With these newly confirmed acts, we really think that we're providing music fans what they want, be it rock, vocal jazz, pop, alternative or R'N'B. And there's still loads to come keep an eye out for more V news, we still have two full stages to announce."
They join a line-up of artists playing across the weekend including the headliners The Verve, and Muse who will be playing their only UK festival date. Acts also confirmed include Kings Of Leon, Stereophonics, Amy Winehouse, The Kooks, Maximo Park, Lenny Kravitz, The Feeling, Squeeze, The Prodigy, Kaiser Chiefs, The Pigeon Detectives, The Zutons, Newton Faulkner, The Hoosiers, Reverend And The Makers, Duffy, and more. Tickets were priced at £145 weekend pass with camping, £125 weekend pass without camping, £70 day ticket (plus £8 booking fees). There are still combined coach, camping and weekend tickets are available priced from £176.50 to £193.75 and can be purchased by clicking here.
