Sunrise Celebration cancelled?

all reports say it is

The Sunrise Celebration festival, due to be happening now in Somerset appears to be cancelled, although we've been unable to directly source any official word ourselves.

Reports from various other media, including ITN West, BBC TV, and the Western Gazette have all stated that it's cancelled. We've tried phoning numbers we have for various people involved in organising the event in vain for an official statement, but we've heard from many people that tried to enter the event both last night and this morning who have all reported that it's cancelled - and we've been told that there is a "cancelled" sign on the festival gate.

The Western Gazette (here) reports:-
Sophie Docker, responsible for sales and marketing, said: "We cannot carry on and have to clear the site of the public and any non essential crew. It has always been sunny in past years, but there are mini lakes everywhere and the storm last night was too much. We are currently writing a public statement and it is unfortunate circumstances, but our backer is talking about continuing next year."

Other festivals due to happen this weekend - including the Wychwood Music Festival happening in Cheltenham - are not reporting any similar problems (Wychwood tell us that they "feel blessed by the weather"), and are going ahead without any problems.
