The Sunrise Celebration festival has put a message on its website (here) warning people not to leave for the festival for the moment, due to adverse weather conditions.
The full message says:
Please do not leave home for the festival if you are still waiting to leave. We are experiencing ADVERSE weather conditions and will need to make a site assesssment in the coming hours. Currently, the police are not allowing any access to the event until this review has taken place. We apologise for any inconvenience and will inform you of any changes via this website. 29th May 18:09
Keep your eyes on the Sunrise website for the latest news. It seems that this severe weather is limited to the south of England and that other festivals happening this weekend in other areas are not suffering from the same extreme weather
Hopefully the weather will improve and the festival will go ahead OK. If you're heading to Somerset for Sunrise, don't forget your wellies!
