This year's festival line-up has been announced and highlights include Reggae quintet, Inner Circle headlining the main stage of reggae acts on Friday night with other reggae acts including Michael Prophet, Ambelique, and Tippa Irie.
Saturday is rock day with The Enemy and Art Brut heading up a bill that also includes The Ripps, Six By Seven, The Displacements, Glasvegas, Dogfight Revolution, Exit Calm, and Pint Shot Riot.
The theme for the main stage acts on the Sunday is singer/songwriters with Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, and Gabriella Cilmi drawing the festival to a close on Sunday evening with festival goers also seeing Envy & Other Sins, Lee Mitchell, Matt Lakey, Barricades Rise, The Carter Manoeuvre, Daisy Moon, Greg Schofield, Katie Dove-Dixon, Murray Wyatt, Ben Wainwright, Dan Haynes, Gary Nock, Declan Bennett, Austin Francis Connection, and Julian Velard, during the day.
The other stages include the Market Tent which on Sunday has folk music from Kristy Gallacher, Dark Island, The QP, The Oddsods, Rob Halligan, Joe O'Donnell's Shkayla, and Jez Lowe and Kate Bramley.
Saturday will have EcoRhythmClub returning with salsa, latin and fusion from Kanda Bongo Man, Mankala, Buffalo Soul Jah, Vamos, Los Tropicales, and Claudio Kron.
There will also be comedy this year in the market tent with a line-up that will be compared by Rufus Hound, and includes Carl Donnelly, Brendan Riley, and Ivan Brackenbury.
Underground party scenesters, Playtime take over the Godiva Festival to bring a 'History of House', against a backdrop of 90's rave visuals from back in the day and performances from Jonny Mac (Vice Deviants), Rosko Pico, Jay Nana, and DJ Christo on the first day.
Friday also sees the Spotlight Tent which sees eight local bands perform to festival goers as part of the G Factor competition. The bands playing are Akeal, The Bellows, Fiori, The Illchemists, Men in Caves, Shadowplay, Shackletons, and Wes Finch and the Dirty Band.
Over the weekend local craftsmen will be giving demonstrations and a variety of organisations will be giving talks to raise awareness on environmental issues. Also taking place at the festival should be the Godiva Carnival Procession, which promises an array of newly created floats and costumes with a theme - yet to be confirmed.
