Los Campesinos! to headline Indie Tracks

joining The Wedding Present, Darren Hayman, The Wave Pictures and over 30 others

Indie Tracks Indiepop Festival which takes place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th of July 2008 at the heritage railway The Midland Railway Butterley, Ripley, Derbyshire have announced that the Sunday night headliners will be Los Campesinos!.

They will join The Wedding Present, Darren Hayman, The Wave Pictures and The Bobby McGees, as well as over 30 new and established bands at the festival, which takes place at a picturesque 1950s steam railway in Derbyshire.

Other acts confirmed so far include indie legends Comet Gain and Ballboy. A host of upcoming bands will also be playing the festival, including KateGoes and The Kabeedies. Plus Lardpony, The Mai 68s, The Middle Ones, Milky Wimpshake, The Occasional Flickers, Pocketbooks, Slow Down Tallahassee, The Smittens, Strawberry Story, Voluntary Butler Scheme, and many more for the line-up details as available please click here.

Tickets are on sale priced at £45.00 for the weekend or at £25 for either day and can be purchased here.

Camping is available at Golden Valley Caravan Park, which is a ten minute walk from the Swanwick festival site. Tent camping costs £15.00 per night. Telephone 01773 513881 to book a pitch, pre-booking is essential.


The bands will play until 10pm, and will then be followed by an indiepop disco. Included in the ticket price is unlimited train rides during the weekend, and full access to the normal Midland Railway Butterley attractions.

The Midland Railway, which is set deep in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside, houses a whole range of lovingly restored steam diesels and locomotives.
