Kendal Calling which happens over the weekend of Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd August has announced more acts to play the festival in the Lake District.

Additions to the bill on the Big-Top main stage include Mystery Jets, Glasvegas, Long Blondes, Eamon Hamilton (Brakes) doing an acoustic set, Tom Hingley, Star 27, The She Beats, Atlas, Maupa, and The Witch & The Robot.

The Traffic Stage has also added artists to the line-up, they are Contraband, Hereldeduke, and Atomic Hooligan. Twisted Wheel, O' Fracas, Seaside Riot, City Royals, The Charm, Seven Seals, Flamboyant Bella, and Obviously Four Believers are newly added to the Cog Stage.

Lastly the Acoustic Tearoom stage will have Kris Foster, Laura James, Dez And His Amazing Solar Powered Acoustic Setup,The Dead Letters, and Monkey See Monkey Do. There are still many more musical acts to be announced across all the stages.

Kendal Calling will also have comedy & spoken word this year from the likes of Howard 'Mr Nice' Marks, and Frank Sidebottom who will be joined by Duncan Oakley, Nick Fraser, Des Sharples, Chris Roche, Vince Atta, Guy Thomas, Kelly J Roberts, and Ben Davis.

They join a line-up which includes Super Furry Animals, British Sea Power, Dizzee Rascal, Scratch Perverts, 20:20 Soundsystem, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, The Bookhouse Boys, Lowline featuring Nick Mccabe (The Verve), The Kleptones, Lo-Fidelity Allstars, Sex & Circuitry, and 3 Daft Monkeys. With many more acts showcasing everything from cutting-edge indie & guitar-thrashing rock, folk music, drum 'n' bass, dub, electro, funky house and more still to be announced. As well as the main stage action there are acoustic acts and DJs, plus festival entertainers, beer tent, big top marquees, and new this years are comedians in a yurt, a folk/roots tent, and cabaret.

There is an overall capacity increase to 4000, a circus big-top main stage, large second stage, an intimate acoustic stage and chillout area, and camping is available.
