Jay-Z unveiled as headliner at Wireless

with Hot Chip, Mark Ronson, and more for Thursday

The first Thursday acts have been announced for the Wireless Festival held in Hyde Park, London and taking place from Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th July.

Hip-hop East Coast rapper Jay-Z aka Shawn Corey Carter will be Thursday night's headline act at this year's Wireless with Mark Ronson, Hot Chip, Roisin Murphy, and Hercules And Love Affair all also confirmed for the same day.

Previous artists announced for the four day event include Morrissey topping the bill at Hyde Park on the Friday with Guillemots, Siouxsie Sioux, Dirty Pretty Things, New York Dolls, Lightspeed Champion, Beck and The National.

Saturday's line-up at Wireless includes the headliner Fatboy Slim, with Underworld, Bootsy Collins And The Rubber Band, Robyn, Does It Offend You Yeah?, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, Sam Sparro, and The Whip.

Sunday is headlined by the Counting Crows with Powderfinger, Goo Goo Dolls, Ben Harper, Eddy Grant, Bowling For Soup and The Galvatrons also on the line-up for that day.

Tickets for the Thursday of the festival will go on sale on Friday 11th April. Tickets for the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are available at a special 'Early Bird' price of £40 for a limited period only. To buy your tickets click here.

Attendees at the event now in its fourth year can expect popular acts on all three stages. The festival will probably also have an acoustic band stand, a fairground, chill out areas, street theatre, performance art, markets, food caterers, a five aside football pitch and lockers are available on site at a cost of £6 a day.
