Scotland's Wizard Festival which takes place at Peterhead, Aberdeenshire have confirmed the first two acts for the line-up to coincide with the end of their early bird ticket offer.

Brixton electro-country Alabama 3 are confirmed for the weekend of Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd August and will be headliners on the Saturday evening. Joining them on the bill will be Glasgow indie beatboxers The Cinematics, and former frontman of The Seahorses - Chris Helme.

Already confirmed as joint Friday headliners are Supergrass and The Damned. More acts will be named over the coming weeks as Wizard organisers pull together a diverse and prestigious line-up of performers for the North East festival. All genres of music are programmed for Wizard, from rock and roll to rockabilly to reggae and pop. Plus the best in new up and coming Scottish and UK acts too.

Last year's line-up included headliners The Undertones and Hayseed Dixie along with Sandi Thom, Proud Mary, The Bluetones, Eddie & The Hotrods, Stiltskin, The Cuban Brothers, Nigel Clark, Bombskare, Old Blind Dogs, Union Avenue, The X-Certs, The Macdonald Brothers, and many more. Organisers promise more special surprises in the weeks and months to come.

Located on a 50 acre site, on New Deer's Showground, The Wizard Festival incorporates a campervan park and tent campsite, food courts, shopping areas, a fairground, first aid & security village, ample car parking and plenty of portaloos!

After last year's success Wizard is set to return bigger and better. The three stages Voodoo, Banshee and Acoustic Stages will welcome established headliners, emerging local bands and everything in-between.
