Green Man festival will have Iron and Wine

joining King Creosote, Magik Markers, DriveBy Truckers, and more

The Green Man Festival has confirmed that Sam Beam American folk singer better known as Iron and Winewill be playing the festival. He will be playing on Sunday 17th August on the Main Stage.

DriveBy Truckers, King Creosote, Caribou, Magik Markers, Alela Diane, Jennifer Gentle, The Accidental, The Drift Collective, Cath and Phil Tyler, The Moon Music Orchestra, One More Grain, The Yellow Moon Band, Duke Garwood, Threatmantics, Mugstar, Radio Luxemburg, Cymbiant, Beth Jeans Houghton and Brygyn have also just been added to this year's Green Man Festival line up.

The dates for the festival are confirmed as Friday 15th to Sunday 17th August in the Brecon Beacons, Powys, Wales. The festival will be remaining the same size as in 2007, at 10,000 people.

Organised by folk duo It's Jo and Danny, there's live music with lots of folk and folktronica bands, plus film, literature, workshop and children's areas, and DJs. Beirut are the Friday headliner, Super Furry Animals the Saturday headliner, Richard Thompson and Howlin' Rain (featuring members of Comets On Fire and Sunburned Hand of the Man), Devon Sproule, Black Mountain, The National, Nina Nistasia, and School Of Language have also been named. Tickets are priced at £105 for the weekend including on-site camping and parking, with children aged 12 and under free. Live-in vehicles are an additional £35. Click here to buy.
