Hit TV series Skins are to host a new arena at this year's Rock Ness festival which is staged this year on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June, and if you happen to be in the crowds heading for the shores of Loch Ness, four miles south-west of Inverness, Scotland then you could end up in the TV series. The Rock Ness organisers have confirmed that Skins casting agents will be there in search for new stars for the next series.

Skins will be filming an episode in the arena throughout the weekend for use in the third series of the show. Following on from their Skins Live Tour the Channel 4 show's arena line-up includes Chicago house DJ Felix Da Housecat, nu-rave stars Hadouken!, Radio 1’s Annie Mac and new stars Black Ghosts. Festival organisers have also confirmed that a deal has been struck with Channel 4 television to broadcast Rock Ness to a national UK audience.

Bryan Elsley, the writer of Skins said: "The line-up and location of Rock Ness is fantastic so we're really looking forward to going to Inverness with Skins. We're going to be filming in the Skins Live arena and we'll have our casting scouts on the lookout for new talent."

Festival goers headed for rock Ness can see Fatboy Slim, Razorlight, Underworld, The View, The Twang, Editors, CSS, The Cribs, Roisin Murphy, Simian Mobile Disco, The Cuban Brothers, Layo & Bushwacka!, Digitalism, and dance legends 2 Many DJs hosting their own Radio Soulwax arena, plus David Guetta's F*** Me I'm Famous club night. They are just some of the acts confirmed. More names will be added over the coming weeks and months.

Tickets are on sale priced at £115 for both days with camping, or £100 without camping, with day tickets costing £50 for either day. To buy, click here. Note that people wishing to camp on Saturday night must have a weekend ticket. Campervan tickets will be available nearer to the event.

For the early arrivals, the Nesstival area will be open from midday on Friday so you can ease yourself into the weekend with some laid back grooves, bars and food. This area will remain open until 4am on Friday and Saturday nights, and until 2am on Sunday night.

Festival goers can also enjoy the dressing-up tent, the 'Lost in Sound' experience, Bollywood Cocktail Bar, Black Isle Pub and The Whisky Bar plus loads of other surprises.
