Kate Nash tops Sunday at Camp Bestival

Camp Bestival the new sister festival of Bestival and held from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th July 2008, for 10,000 people at Lulworth Castle, Dorset has unveiled Kate Nash as the headliner for Sunday, joining the previously announced Chuck Berry on Friday, and The Flaming Lips on Saturday.

There's a raft of new acts also confirmed Hercules And Love Affair(Live), DJ Yoda, Dub Pistols Sound System, Kid Carpet, The Nextmen, Ross Allen, Taiwah, Emiliana Torrini, Rod Thomas, The Hat, Christopher D Ashley, Sportsday Megaphone, Alice & the Majesty, Lucky Elephant, Bastila, Sombrero Sound System, Fear of Theydon, and Cut A Shine are all added to the eclectic bill for the event inspired by a 1950s British Holiday Camp with a twist.

Also revealed by the organisers is a new line-up for the 'The Laughter Library' which is a comedy, spoken word and literature tent. This will feature a comedy bill called 'Jestival' which will include Roy Walker's 'Catchphrase', Andrew Maxwell presents 'Full Mooners', Ida Barr & Tina C, Phil Nichol, Glenn Wool, Craig Campbell, Dave Fulton, Jason John Whitehead, Andy Askins, Adam Bloom, Sol Bernstein, Pete Cain, Susan Murray, Jonathan Mayor, John Fothergill, David Hadingham, Jeff Innocent, Carl Donnelly and there's more to come.

Scroobius Pip will be presenting 'The Spoken Word' entertainment with Polar Bear, Poem Inbetween People, Peggy Sue & The Pirates, Gideon Conn, Kate Tempest, Matt Lloyd, and Af Harold all contributing.

There will also be exclusive readings by some of this country's finest writers too, writers the likes of Howard Marks, Richard Milward, Joe Stretch, Neil Boorman, Gautam Malkani, Damian Barr, Bookslam, M J Hyland, Sebastian Horsley, Henry Hemming, Dan Rhodes, Edward Docx, Marie Phillips, Nigel Spriggs/Daniel Clay, Tom Leveritt, Michael Smith, Ed Larrikin, Cathi Unsworth, Peter Wild, Tom Hodgkinson, Andy & Dave Hamilton, Paul Kingsnorth, and Gabriela Blandy.

They join the acts already announced, Suzanne Vega, Billy Bragg, Kid Creole & the Coconuts, The Cuban Brothers, King Creosote, The Wurzels, The Imagined Village, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Joe Lean and The Jing Jang Jongs, Eliza Carthy, Eliza Doolittle, Ebony Bones, Black Kids, Cock N Bull Kid, Kitty, Daisy and Lewis, The Melodica, The Melody and Me, David E Sugar, Gideon Conn, Jon Hopkins, Imperial Leisure, Rachael Mary, and more.

Festival goers are asked to join in with the festival spirit and bring a cymbal, trombone or sousaphone for the Saturday to be part of the The World's Largest Marching Band headed up by the Bestival Ukulele Orchestra and Masters Of The Kazooniverse.

Fun for all the family is included so expect a Kids Area filled with magic moments and an abundance of neat treats for little ones of all ages. From a Sports Day on the jousting strip to Story Telling around roaring Campfires, a good ole Cockney Knees Up, Insect Circus, The All Singing Kids Summer Party and dressing up antics, it'll be a jam packed haven for kids and their parents. Plus Lulworth Castle has its very own Animal Farm where the kids can get up close to their super-friendly animals.

There's luxury tents, tipis, yurts, bivouacs, airstreams, and gypsy caravans available, or bring your own outdoor living.

The live music line-up is programmed by Rob da Bank. The music will be diverse with a Main Stage, the new 'Tree Stage', a Balearic Bollywood arena, a Rock n Roll tent and the magnificent Spiegel tent for Come Dancing dance offs. All this plus Theatre in the Woods, Films projected on the Castle Walls, Kamp Karaoke Night – Ukelele Karaoke, Folk-aoke & Hip-Hop Karaoke, Fireworks and fun on tap!

Tickets are on sale, priced at £120 for adult weekend camping, £60 for Child (aged 13 to 15 on 18/07/2008) weekend tickets, with children under-12 free (but require a ticket), and campervans cost £50 per vehicle. To buy, click here.
