The Verve join Muse for V Festival

Kaiser Chiefs, The Prodigy - plus many others also confirmed

Adding to the earlier confirmation of Muse as one of the headliners for this year's V Festival which take place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August, the first major announcement of acts has now been made on the V Festival website.

The other day is to be headlined by The Verve. Muse will play at Chelmsford on the Saturday and at Staffordshire on the Sunday, while The Verve will play at Staffordshire on the Saturday and at Chelmsford on the Sunday.

Also confirmed for the V Stage on the same day as Muse are Stereophonics, The Kooks, Maximo Park, Alanis Morrissette, and The Futureheads.

Playing on the V Stage the same day as The Verve are Kings Of Leon, Amy Winehouse, Lenny Kravitz, The Feeling, Girls Aloud, Squeeze, and One Republic.

On the Channel 4 Stage on the day headlined by Muse are The Prodigy, Pigeon Detectives, Newton Faulkner, The Hoosiers, Duffy, Amy MacDonald, and Shed Seven, while The Verve day has Kaiser Chiefs, The Zutons, The View, Reverend And The Makers, Scouting For Girls, The Courteeners, and The Rifles.

The JJB Arena will play host on the Muse day to Ian Brown, The Pogues, Jamie T, The Twang, Sugababes, and David Jordan, while on The Verve day there's Chemical Brothers, The Charlatans, Hot Chip, Travis, and Robyn.

Tickets are priced as follows: £145 weekend pass with camping, £125 weekend pass without camping, £70 day ticket (plus £8 booking fees). Tickets will go on sale again at 10am Friday 7th March. We'll have links to buy when on sale.

The site is open (for weekend campers) from 10am Friday until midday Monday. On Saturday and Sunday the arena will open at 12 noon and close at 11pm (when the bands finish).
